Susan Murphy

Elder Susan is a native of Mt. Airy North Carolina. Her ministry engagement began at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in 1989 as a member of New Birth’s first Liturgical Dance Team and as a Greeter. While at New Birth she was appointed as a Core Team Leader for Heart to Heart, the ministry’s life equipper for women.

Joining with Apostle Terrell Murphy, she too was sent to Charlotte North Carolina to plant New Birth Charlotte (NB-C), New Birth’s first church plant outside the state of Georgia. It was here that her ministerial calling began to develop as the set minister for Heart to Heart. Charged with creating an environment where women could be transformed and empowered, she put into place numerous initiatives for the awakening of many to the greater things in God as Esther who have been called for such a time as this.

In 2013 she was elevated to Elder and has continued with her same commitment to the edification of women as she now oversees the Life Givers Women’s Ministry of Life Center International.

She is very compassionate about Family and has been a faithful support to Apostle Terrell’s ministry matriculation and her children. In 1996, after the birth of her first son, she has taken the reins as a Domestic Engineer for 23 years securing the identity and destiny of her sons, Samuel and Johnathan.

A graduate of Appalachian State University with a double major in Marketing and Management, she believes that the equipping of women to take hold of their authority in Christ to impact the marketplace is essential to the call of God that each of them have been given. She and Apostle Terrell have been married for more than 30 years.

SERVE

To serve is critical to the growth of the local church; God has ordained it to be this way.  It causes the body of God to be in harmony, sharing the effort, creating necessary relationships and growing spiritually all for the benefit of the kingdom. When you serve it supports the undergirding of the culture of the kingdom of God as well as facilitate responsible growth. It is the key to the heart of God that all believers serve.
